Your prayer sounded so simple, so amusing. But it is so important though–to give thanks for basic things God has provided for us. I told my daughter about it. She also chuckled at your prayer :-).

You are my first subscriber! Hope more will join me in meditating on God’s words both in Chinese and English! Be a bilingual in the bible verses!

    May God bless your family!

  14. Thank you so much for these lessons , I love Jesus with all my heart , I’ve also been married to a lovely Taiwanese wife for 4 years , we met in church . I tried to pray in mandarin one day before eating and every body laughed at me , It went something like this , (in Chinese.)

Jesus this food great! thank you , good bye.

I laughed too , but next time maybe tears will come to every one after I pray for our lunch on Sunday. Praise God .

God bless and I’m looking forward to the next lessons , I really like the prayer ones in Philippians , I requested Ephesians 1:16-17 and sent a friend request and subscribed because this is one of the most important reason to learn Chinese , To get to know God better and pray with my Chinese friends.

    Your brother in Christ, Chris

    • “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
      (John 14. 21)

      • Hi IHMS:
Check out the last 4 words in (John 14:21) . I really enjoyed that , and look for it daily.

(John 14:23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

The Key is to love Him. Then we’ll treasure His words to the point of loving obedience , not law obedience.

Law obedience says “I have to” keep His commandments.

The one who loves Jesus says “I love to” keep His commandments.

        BIG DIFFERENCE…. . . . . . . . . . . .

      • Chris, you’re so right! I have been thinking about the same thing. It is the love to God that will keep us from sinning. That’s why it is so important to experience the love of God. another thing about that verse is
“…and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” Think about that! God himself will make his abode in us! We are one with the living God! (John 17. 21)

      • IHMS
